Kiira is a studio guest in a weekend morning-show for kids.
Part 1.
The host introduces Kiira and tells that this is how she looked when she was a kid. After a little small-talk they watch a clip of Kiira in the Olympic Games.
The host asks Kiira how it felt to take a part in the Olympic Games and Kiira tells that it was an amazing expirience. Then he asks if she is already looking towards the 2010 Olympics and Kiira says that the 2010 games are her goal but many things can happen in four years.
Then the host starts asking Kiira questions the kids have sent in:
Q: At what age did you start skating?
A: I was four years old and my older sister Petra was already skating so I followed her.
Q: Why don’t you use a helmet when you skate?
A: When I was young and still learning I used a helmet, but when I gained more skill and learned to fall “the right way” I stopped using it. But it’s very important for beginners to use a helmet.
Q: Have you ever won a gold-medal?
A: I have won a couple of National and Nordic championship titles on junior level, but none yet on senior level.
Q: How often do you practise?
A: Well quite often actually. I usually have two sessions every day, both on and off ice training. The host announces the next program and that they will return after that.
Part 2.
Flash-round, quick questions and quick answers.
Q: What are you hobbies?
A: Figure skating!
Q: How much free time you have after skating?
A: Almost nothing at all.
Q: What’s your favourite color?
A: Umm… let’s say red.
Q: What sports were you interested in as a child?
A: Figure skating!
Q: What’s your favourite subject in school?
A: Physical education.
Q: Do you have allergies?
A: Yes…
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: No.
Q: What’s your favourite singer or band?
A: Umm… there are so many.
Q: Have you ever hurt yourself badly and how?
A: Yes, once a friend’s skate slashed my leg and once I crashed head first on the boards.
Q: Is skating difficult?
A: Yes!
Q: How many skating outfits do you have?
A: I haven’t counted but around ten I think.
Q: How many medals do you have?
A: I haven’t counted those either.
Q: How many times a week do you practise?
A: Umm… sixteen. If you count every separate on and off ice session.
The host thanks Kiira and is amazed about the amount of practice sessions. Then another clip from the Olympic Games.
The host wonders that doesn’t she get dizzy when she spins so fast and Kiira says that you get used to it and it doesn’t bother so much, but sometimes after a fast spin you can get a bit disoriented. Host then asks if there is a way to clear your head and kiira says that not really, “You can’t starts shaking your head in a middle of the program, you just have to cope with it and move to the next element”.
The host says that it’s time to end and that Kiira will stop by tomorrow for a“30 second challenge”.
