Kiira has arrived to South Korea and was interviewed by a Korean sports news agency, Xports News. From the Google’s poorly translated version it can be understood that she plans to skate both exhibition programs: If I were a boy and Butterfly.
The gala will be held in The Olympic Park Gymnastics Gymnasium at Seoul from 16th to 18th of April 2010. The star of the show is of course Korea’s own Yu-na Kim.
Thanks for the video, pollsu!

Nice idea. While “If I were a boy” is very interesting and entertaining, “Butterfly” is pure beauty to me!

I think the guy who get out the airport with Kiira is Thomas Verner…from Chech Republic…also invited to Gala….I suppose they took the same plane to Seoul..
Ypu can see him also in the video and in the pics…

@Gianluca:
If you refer to the guy, who is pushing that trolley next to Kiira, he is definitely not Thomas Verner. I suppose he might be Kiira’s boyfriend. When I attended Finnish nationals in 2008, the Korpi family came to sit right in front of me (Kiira’s father actually sat on a seat just in front of mine). This guy was there also with Kiira’s family, and he also congratulated her on the rinkside after the medal ceremonies. And since Kiira doesn’t have a brother… well. I don’t know for sure, but I would be very surprised if he wasn’t her boyfriend or at least a very close (family)friend.
Thanks for the news Roikale….I suppose a very close family friend…but I didn’t see him in Torino even if I was very very close to the rink and also I was next to athlets locker room…
I’m just guessing, but it might be Kiira’s new manager, Mikko Luukkaa. Who is also the common-law husband of Kiira’s big sister Petra according to this magazine story from Helsingin Sanomat:
http://img235.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=34590_Nyt_liite_2010_01_22_01_122_53lo.jpg
The headline of the story says: “Mikko Luukkaa is a sports manager from Espoo, who’s job is to transfer skating to money income. For example in South-Korea”. So definetely there was already some plans for Korea.
Great Taskinen…..
perfect
Thanks for the info, Taskinen – that’s definitely him in the video and whom I saw in the ’08 nats. Great find! Sorry for my obvious misinformation and false speculation…
There is no problem….it’s hard to know everyone…infact you used the conditional not being sure….me too…
Точняк, этот лошара-Микко Лууккаа.
Well all heart felt lighter …
