This weekend (17-19th December) will be held Finnish Championships in Turku.
Last news, they say Laura Lepisto won’t going to take part in this competition, because of her persistent problems to achilles: she will try to recover in time for Euros. Without Laura, I think should be impossible to save three spots for Finland. But this could be a great chance for many young skaters, especially for Beata Papp.
Go for gold, Kiira!
Yes! Go for it, Kiira!!!
Anyway, is Laura alright? How could she be qualified for Euros?
Yes Takashi, Suomen Taitoluistelu (the Finnish Figure Skating Association) has reserved a spot to Laura for Euros, even though she’s not been able to compete so far. And it’s been a wise decision, in my opinion: Laura deserved that chance, ’cause she saved second spot for Finland at last Worlds in Turin. She’s still suffering for problems to achilles, but she’s getting well.
Third name for Euros is very uncertain: I think should be a duel between Timila Shrestha and Beata Papp.
Timila is still a junior skater and competes in juniors. She won’t be a name for Euros. I think the battle will be between Beata Papp and Cecilia Törn. STLL demands that Laura has to show her quality 2 weeks before euros. If she is unable to attend Euros there will be Kiira and 2 young skaters – unfortunately it’s almost impossible to keep 3 spots to next years’ Euros. But let’s hope Laura will recover.
Goo Kiira!
