Thanks a lot, Timo & Roikale: especially second show has been great, ’cause first song wasn’t so good, in my opinion. She appears in a very good shape, with a view to Worlds this is very promising.
Thanks to Kiira and others. Some eurocents will have come to poor girls of my land.
Barbarian mind let stay forever. Scating prevails!
Kiira was in top form. She could podium at Worlds. I like her makeup here. Let’s see, here’s her top contenders at Worlds: Alissa Czisny (Gold Grand Prix Final), Yu Na Kim (Gold Olympics), Mao Asada (Gold Worlds), Miki Ando (Gold Worlds), Rachael Flatt, Carolina Kostner, Kanako Murikami, Laura Lepisto?…that’s quite an array. It’s not often in history the skating world gets such a collection of top of the line skaters. I hear tickets are selling like hotcakes. This is going to be a great Worlds.
Anything could happen this Worlds. It’s wide open. Yuna is expected to win Gold but she hasn’t competed all year. What if she falters? That means the next logical choice to win Gold is…Alissa Czisny! She won Nats twice and just lassooed in a Grand Prix Final Gold. She’s the paradigm of ladies figure skating. She deserves to win Gold at Worlds. Other Gold contenders are Miki/Mao and Kiira…Kiira has the style, the looks…and she skates great! Always a storyline in her programme. She could be a ballerina at the Bolshoi. She needs to rack up element points. At this stage of the competition, points count! And there’s Cynthia Phaneuf and Makarova…the German girl, Sarah Hecken, shows a lot of promise. If Yuna brings down the house with “Giselle” and “Arirang”…that’s a program to beat. Worlds begins this weekend…
I read that 80% of the tickets have been sold as of Saturday and that most of the remaining tickets are for the 25th and 26th.
Saint-Peterburg(2 Gala 2 may) is a wonderful & very very beautiful city !
Russian Venice,maybe better.

ladies schedule 4 tomorrow. Pay attention to your time zones and enjoy!
Great performance today 4 Patrik Chan!
Roberta not qualified for less than a point… unbelievable.
Well, all of this makes experience, anyway.
I wonder why Patrick Chan didn’t skate so well in Vancouver…
oh, and hyvä Kiira for tomorrow!
I was watching Yuna Kim’s sp practise at Moscow on YouTube: one of the best sp I’ve ever seen. She’ll score in the 70’s, maybe the 80’s. Yuna seemed to incorporate some artistic styles from Alissa Czisny and Kiira Korpi into her program. Smart girl. Yuna’s jumps are high and powerful. These girls are all adding to the lexicon of ladies figure skating this season, evolving it.
Alissa Czisny is the apotheosis of ladies figure skating, so I think this year’s Worlds will be between Yuna and Czisny, not Yuna and Mao. I think Kiira could definitely podium, she’s a great skater, has that beautiful girl next door look, the crowds love her.
I expect great things from Miki Ando and Kanako Murakami: the first one ’cause she rarely fails these events, and the second one ’cause she made enormous progress in the recent past.
I think Kiira’s final place should reasonably be between fifth and eighth: and I suppose she would be happy of that too, ’cause however would be her best in career. Maybe, her main goal is doing clean programs and a get very good score.
