Kiira’s performance has been affected by some problems with Technical Elements: an unusually low score, even on Double Axel, always one of her best jumps. Maybe physical conditions are not perfect, as we feared, anyway podium is only five points away… come on Kiira, skate your heart out tomorrow!
I think/hope the reason is the first competition of the season – last time she competed in worlds over a half year ago. Just some nervousness, hopefully not physical. The dress was just lovely!
NHK is all over the place. Kiira lost 10 points in her sp! I’ve noticed that skaters coming off an injury sometimes don’t do as well for awhile. Hope her Freeskate pulls in points. Kiira is always delightful to watch no matter who’s winning.
Kiira was in the top 4 in PCS. She just needs more TES. Suzuki got an 8 in skating skills. She has a low center of gravity which makes her more stable. And Susuki is loaded up with TES. –But I see the homecourt advantage also. Glad to see Asada back in the Grand Prix. She embodies the craft. NHK must be big news in Japan, it’s hard to get any video out.
