Without Laura, I think should be impossible to save three spots for Finland. But this could be a great chance for many young skaters, especially for Beata Papp.

In the ceremony at the University of Tampere there were representatives from the Finnish Student Sports Federation and University . . . → Read More: Student athlete 2009 award ceremony]]> Kiira was awarded the student athlete of the year 2009 award last February, as we reported earlier. But since she couldn’t attend the award ceremony earlier, the award was given separately on Wednesday the 12th of May 2010.

In the ceremony at the University of Tampere there were representatives from the Finnish Student Sports Federation and University of Tampere. After the trophy ceremony Kiira told about how helpful they have been while combining sports and studying.
