Kiira is frequently appearing on promotional videos for “Nordic Special” TV programs by NHK, Japanese public broadcasting organization – as you know, one of organizers of NHK Trophy (the other organizer is Japan Skating Federation).
In the videos, Kiira says “shi-a-wa-se” which means “Happiness” in Japanese.
“Nordic Special – from countries of happiness -” programs will be started from Sat, 23 to Sun, 31 July and they will introduce the charms of 5 Nordic countries with 70 programs for 80 hours.
Yesterday, I found a really huge poster of Kiira at Shinjuku station in Tokyo! Wow!

Today at the exhibition gala of the European Championships in Bern Kiira performed her new gala program. The program took inspiration from movie star glamor.

After a very dramatic first minute of Free Skating, Kiira pulled the rest of the program together well. She got 102.90 points from FS and was naturally disappointed. Total points of 166.40 were enough for the third place, so not a catastrophe after all! Kiira got her second bronze medal from the Euros since 2007! Congrats!
Just only one regret: she fails the GP Finals in Beijing for two – damned – points! What a pity…
But this isn’t so important, at the moment…
Kiira did it! Finally!
She deserved such a satisfaction.
